Note:
One of the clearest wines I've ever seen, this is just a grade above water and wouldn't even be called paper color. It certainly doesn't make you think you're going to find much flavor here.
Aroma:
5.5 (of 7)
Note:
Here's the surprise! Delicious aroma's of peaches, pears, figs and a hint of lemon. The wine rebounds a bit from a bad start.
Taste:
8 (of 10)
Note:
Light and delicate with nice flavors of pears, peaches, figs and nuts with a slight lemony tang at the end. It has a light sweetness to it that's refreshing. I guess my biggest criticism is Beckett's Flat's decision to switch to screw-top caps in 2006 instead of corks. Bad decision, folks!
Total:
15.5 (of 20)
Food:
I enjoyed this new entry from Beckett's Flat with broiled salmon and salad. This was another in a long line of wines that go well with salmon.
