Color:
2.5 (of 3)
Note:
A golden sunshine color with
a healthy glow.
Aroma:
6 (of 7)
Note:
A strong sharp acidic scent
of tropical fruit with tones of oak as well. It's aggressive
without being musty.
Taste:
8.5 (of 10)
Note:
It has a crisp, tart flavor
of citrus and tropical fruits along with fig, a little vanilla
and a noticeable oak flavor at the end. There is a strong
lemon/lime flavor from end to end that really invites the
right dish. This wine is loud and vibrant, so be prepared....

Food:
This Sauvignon Blanc matched
perfectly with tonights meal. I tried a new recipe tonight.
It's a grilled bluefish but it's prepared a little differently.
You lay the bluefish skin down on a piece of aluminum foil
and fold the edges up. Then squeeze the juice of half a lemon
and half a lime over the fish, sprinkle with some fresh ground
pepper and a little salt and put it on the grill. It cooks
in the lemon/lime juice and you never flip it. Just serve
it when it's cooked all the way through. The only thing I
could have done better would be to pour a little of the wine
on the fish before cooking it. It was a great summer meal!
