Taste: 9 (of 10)

Note: This is a terrific wine! It's a delicious blend with lots of body and a chewy texture, along with full, ripe tannins and a big flavor. The taste is filled with ripe wild berries, cherries, nuts, cedar and the pipe smoke of my grandfather. It's quite dry and elegant in its presentation. Some may find it a bit too acidic, but I think it's just right. This is a marvelous wine that will only improve with age.

Total: 17.5 (of 20)

Food: I enjoyed this Margaux with spaghetti. I found a container of soaghetti sauce in the freezer while Linda was away. I don't remember her making this sauce, but it was fantastic with this wine. With lots of tomatoes, onions and red peppers, it was almost like a salsa. I added some parmesan cheese and it was great! The full, rich body of this wine was a terrific match.
