Aroma:

Note:
Oh, very nice! Deep aroma's of blackberry, currants, licorice and tobacco make this a very inviting Cabernet. The only drawback was the short duration of the scent. Swirl some air into it and it comes alive, but only very briefly. It's a terrific scent with a very short lifespan.
Taste:
9 (of 10)
Note:
This is surely the best wine from Teal Lake I've ever had. Delicious fruit flavors of blackberry, plum and currants give way to oak, licorice and tobacco. It's soft but full-bodied with medium tannins and a long dry finish. While the aroma was short, the taste lingers beautifully.
Total:
17.5 (of 20)
Food:
I enjoyed this Cabernet Sauvignon from Teal Lake with turkey spaghetti. The tomato sauce uses ground turkey instead of hamburger. It's a health-conscious alternative that really works! I think the mushrooms make all the difference. This Cab, with its oak and tobacco flavors, matched particularly well!
