Taste:
8.5 (of 10)
Note:
Dry with smooth tannins that wrap around the flavors of black cherries, oak, pipe tobacco and tea. It's a smooth flavor with a wonderfully chewy texture. It's a delight! It's a very distinctive wine with a unique flavor that sets it apart from the usual fair.

Food:
I emjoyed this unusual wine with a grilled tuna steak topped with salsa along with onion rings. After so many Cabernets and Chardonnays, this wine, with its unique blend of unusual grapes, is a welcome change of pace. These grapes really aren't grown anywhere else in the world in any quantity, so it's a distinctively Portuguese experience, and well worth it!
