Color:
2.5 (of 3)
Note:
A heavy ruby color with a bright purple edge to it that looks very fruity.
Aroma:
6 (of 7)
Note:
A sweet fruity scent of plums and cherries coupled with oak and the smell of fresh cotton sheets.
Taste:
9 (of 10)
Note:
This is a very interesting blend that shows its roots very clearly. The fruity black cherry and plum flavors of the Cabernet join with the dry oak flavor and strong tannins of the Merlot along with the peppery spicyness of the Shiraz to make a full-bodied and flavorful wine that is both sophisticated and elegant in its delivery.
Total:
17.5 (of 20)
Food:
I enjoyed this blend with spaghetti with an olive sauce made with tomato sauce, 3 kinds of olives, garlic, crushed red pepper and other spices. The sauce is a very bold flavor and the Yatir had enough zing to keep up with it. Very nice!
