Aroma:
6.5 (of 7)
Note:
Very nice aroma's of ripe berries, oak, pepper and licorice. Very inviting scent that draws you in.
Taste:
8.5 (of 10)
Note:
This Cabernet is packed with the flavor of ripe berries, including cherries, blackberries and plums along with a very good balance of oak, pepper and tea. It has a long, very dry finish with strong tannins. This is a wine that really grows on you. I liked the second glass much more than the first. Some people might find it a little too acidic at the end but I thought the wine had a lot of character.
Total:
17.5 (of 20)
Food:
I enjoyed this with dish my mother calles "Goulash" even though that's not what it really is. It's a pasta dish with elbow macaroni and fried ground beef in a heavy tomato sauce with diced tomatoes, chopped onions, garlic and other spices.
