Color:
2.5 (of 3)
Note:
A deep, dark purple color that's
very fruity looking.
Aroma:
5.5 (of 7)
Note:
Strong cherry aroma's with
some oak as well. It looks like it would have a wider variety
of scents than it actually does.
Taste:
9.5 (of 10)
Note:
Very dry with vibrant tannins,
it's the kind of red wine I can really get into. Cherry is
the dominant flavor here, but there are also plum, blackberry,
smoke and black pepper flavors that give this Cabernet a healthy
and robust variety. Very well balanced with flavors that move
in and out of your senses. Very well done and with a long,
drawn-out finish that begs for more. Definitely recommended!

Food:
The Yatir Forest Cabernet Sauvignon
was a great match with tonights meatballs in tomato gravy
over white rice. I don't know if my wife puts a dash of hot
sauce in the meatballs or not, but there's a touch of spicyness
that pairs with the wine beautifully.
