Color:
2 (of 3)
Note:
It's a medium garnet color
that is a little dull. It's not a bad color. It's just a tad
murky.
Aroma:
6 (of 7)
Note:
Now things are getting better!
Lively fruit scent with loads of plum and berry aroma's including
raspberry, blackberry currant and maybe even a little blueberry.
There's a slight whiff of oak but it's mostly fruit.
Taste:
8.5 (of 10)
Note:
Medium sweet with lots of wild
berry flavor. This is what I call a "happy" wine.
It's lively and vivacious and the flavors of plum, blackberry,
raspberry and currants dance on your tongue. This is not a
sophisticated or elegant wine in any way. This is a party
wine! It's delightfully fun, playful and overflowing with
flavor. It's a wine for a good time.
Total:
16.5 (of 20)
Food:
I had it with a summer cook-out
with hot dogs, baked beans and french fries. It's not a serious
meal and not a serious wine, so they go well together. Remember,
fun is good!
