Segal's Cabernet Sauvignon Special Reserve
Winery: Segal's Year: 2002 Type: Red Country: Israel (Upper Galilee) Grape Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon Note: Aged for 14 months in French & American oak barrels. Alcohol: 13.5% Mevushal: No Date Reviewed: 5/10/06
Color: 2 (of 3) Note: A bright, shining dark purple. It looks a little thinner at the edges than other Cabs.
Aroma: 6 (of 7) Note: Smells of cedar, ripe berries and cigars. It's actually quite nice, although the wood aroma may be a little strong for some.
Taste: 9 (of 10) Note: Beautifully complex flavors of berries, nuts, pepper and smoke. A nice long dry finish. This is a wonderful blending of flavors that works very well. This is a very nice Cabernet and definitiely recommended.

Food: I enjoyed this with hamburgers and corn on the cob on the grill for the first time this year. Spring is here!
