Color:
2 (of 3)
Note:
A deep, dark, heavy-looking
purple color shows it's not really very old.
Aroma:
5.5 (of 7)
Note:
A mild fruity berry aroma is
overpowered by a strong spicy balsamic scent. This is typical
for a Shiraz but this makes it seem a bit one-dimensional.
Taste:
8.5 (of 10)
Note:
It's very spicey and dry with
a good length. There's a slight berry flavor in the middle
surrounded by oak and a strong spicy finish. I'm not a big
Shiraz fan, but I like this one, perhaps because it's quite
dry. It's not a wine that would age well so drink it early
and be careful what foods you pair it with. Don't pair this
with a mild-flavored dish or it will overpower it.

Food:
I don't cook with my wok often enough, but when I do I make
a pretty good spicy chicken dish with garlic sauce that would
go well with this Shiraz.
