Color:
2.5 (of 3)
Note:
A bright, cheery straw color with a healthy glow.
Aroma:
5 (of 7)
Note:
Pleasing scents of flowers and honey are offset by a slight musty, wet sock odor. It's faint, but definitely there.
Taste:
8.5 (of 10)
Note:
Semi-dry and only slightly sweet, there's a fine balance here. There are honey, fig and vanilla flavors along with the right touch of oak blended in very nicely. The flavors really tighten at the end of the taste with a good woody finish. After the disappointing aroma, I was pleasantly surprised by the rebound in the taste and it rallies for an acceptable score.
Total:

Food:
I had it with falafel with humus, matbucha and some Israeli salads. It's not really the ideal wine for this meal but it worked out OK. It really is a dessert wine better suited to a fruit salad in summer.
