Note:
A light golden straw color.
Aroma:
5.5 (of 7)
Note:
Light, sweet fruit, honey and
vanilla scents.
Taste:
6 (of 10)
Note:
The crisp, sweet fruitiness
of peaches, pears and apples along with almonds at the beginning
gives way to a shocking bitter aftertaste. The mild but persistent
bubbles are good but the taste is all wrong. All the other
fine points get lost behind the disappointing aftertaste.
I has ten people at the table and none of them gave this Champagne
a second chance. The verdict was a unanimous thumbs down!
Total:
13.5 (of 20)
Food:
We tried this with a fruit
salad made from whatever we found in the fridge, including
cantaloupe, peaches, plums and mango. The fruit salad was
fine but the Champagne was a terrible disappointment. This
is one Champagne you should cross off your list. Your guests
deserve better than this and so did mine!
